1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of training services by Care Wise Academy Limited (“we”, “our”, or “us”) to any individual, group, business, or organisation (“client”, “you”, or “your”) who engages our services. By booking a course with us or accessing our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Company Overview
Care Wise Academy Limited is a UK-based health and social care training agency specialising in delivering face-to-face, statutory and mandatory training courses. Our training complies with:
- Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements
- UK Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF)
- Health & Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines
- GDPR and other UK data protection laws
3. Services Provided
We offer:
- In-person care training courses (individual or group)
- Statutory and mandatory care modules (1-day and custom durations)
- Training at our venue or on client premises
- Annual refresher training and certification
- Course development and bespoke packages
Courses include but are not limited to:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Manual Handling
- Safeguarding Adults and Children
- Infection Prevention and Control
- Fire Safety, Food Hygiene, RIDDOR, COSHH, Mental Health Awareness
4. Booking & Payment Terms
- Booking Confirmation: Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of full payment or a signed agreement/invoice acceptance.
- Payment Deadline: All course fees must be paid in full no later than 7 days prior to the training date unless otherwise agreed.
- Payment Methods: We accept bank transfer, credit/debit card, or invoice-based B2B payments.
- Late Payment: We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
By Client:
- Cancellation 7+ days before the course date: 100% refund
- Cancellation 3–6 days before: 50% refund
- Cancellation within 48 hours: No refund
- Substitution of attendees is allowed if communicated in writing at least 24 hours before the course.
By Care Wise Academy:
- If we cancel or reschedule, we will notify clients as soon as possible and offer:
- A full refund, or
- A credit transfer to another course date
6. Training Attendance & Conduct
- Participants must arrive on time. Late arrivals may be refused entry and forfeit certification.
- Full attendance is required to receive certification.
- Disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behaviour may result in removal without refund.
- Participants must wear appropriate attire for practical elements of the training.
7. Certificates of Completion
- Certificates are issued upon successful completion of each course and are valid for 12 months unless otherwise stated.
- Lost or damaged certificates can be reissued for a fee of £10.
8. Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Ensuring that the training provided is appropriate for your staff and setting.
- Providing accurate participant information during booking.
- Ensuring suitable facilities when training is hosted on your premises.
- Informing us of any special requirements (e.g., accessibility, allergies, medical conditions) in advance.
9. Use of Training Materials
All training materials are the intellectual property of Care Wise Academy Limited and are protected by copyright. Clients and participants may not:
- Copy, distribute, or sell our materials
- Use our materials for their own training services
- Reproduce our branding without permission
10. Limitation of Liability
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our training services.
- Our total liability for any claim arising from a course shall not exceed the amount paid for the service.
- While we take every effort to ensure accurate and current information, training content is provided on an “as-is” basis and should not replace employer responsibilities under UK law.
11. Health & Safety
Care Wise Academy ensures all training environments comply with health and safety standards. However, clients hosting on-site training are responsible for:
- Risk assessments
- Fire safety
- Cleanliness and hygiene
- Providing a safe and accessible environment
12. Data Protection & GDPR Compliance
We collect and process data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK GDPR.
- Personal data (e.g., name, contact details, attendance records) is used only for training delivery, certification, and compliance purposes.
- We do not share your data with third parties unless required by law or with your consent.

13. Website & Online Use
Use of our website is governed by a separate Website Terms of Use policy. No unlawful, harmful, or malicious activity is permitted on our platforms.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will be published on our website and becomes effective immediately upon publication.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.
